About Marcy
October 2, 2010 my wife of 17 years went to be with Jesus after ten years of fighting ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease.)
Though she was totally paralyzed and on life support for the last seven and a half years of her life, she continued to inspire others. But the Marcy that was in that hospital bed in our living room was not her true nature, she is active and loving in heaven.
God blessed the kids and me with Marcy. And He continues to bless us as we live and love in His abundance (John 10:10.)
In 2000 my wife, Marcy, then 37, was winning 5 and 10K races. She was room mother and Brownie troop leader for our daughter (then 6) and soccer mom for our son (then 11.) In August of 2000, she was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease. This is a motor neuron disease which causes the nerves to stop talking with the muscles. 50% of patients die within 3 years of diagnosis. Marcy fought for over 10 years.
